How Do I Unlock Insights from My Analytics Environment?

The Insights Page

The Insights page in Workstream gives you a high-level overview of your analytics environment. You can locate it by selecting "Insights" from the left nav.

The top section gives you a view of activity over the selected date range. Currently you can see the following types of activity:

  • New Assets created

  • Total failing assets

  • Total Incidents

  • Conversations started

Clicking on any of the activity types opens a view of all the relevant assets or conversations so you can dive deeper.

The Incidents card allows you to view all active incidents in your environment, including those that impact multiple assets. Note that you can also update incident statuses by drilling down into this card.

In the next section, you can see a graph showing high-level trends over time. You have the option to toggle between showing asset views, and assets created. You can also break down the data by either department/function or vendor type.

Note that all sections on the Insights page will show data based on the currently selected date range. You can update this at any time in the top right corner of the page.

At the bottom of the page, you can find a list of assets under a few different categories. Toggle between top viewed, most liked, and most discussed assets in your workspace.

This allows you to see which users are driving viewing and conversation patterns, and allocate resources to maintain the asset accordingly.

To see a full list of all the relevant assets, select "View all".

Managing Insights Notification Frequency

Insights are also available to workspace owners as email summaries that send on a daily or weekly basis. To set the frequency of the summaries, you can click the settings icon on the Insights page:

Or you can navigate to your workspace settings under your workspace name in the top left corner of the page.

Please note that changing the frequency will apply for all owners in your workspace.
