Connecting Workstream to your Monte Carlo account allows you to manage your data incident workflow, including displaying data status pages for your critical dashboards and other data assets. This article walks you through how to connect your Monte Carlo instance to Workstream.
Monte Carlo supports both personal and account-level keys. Only users with the Account Owner role can create account-level keys. It is highly recommended that you use account-level keys to ensure that the integration stays active if the connecting user's account becomes inactive.
The Monte Carlo integration currently supports the following asset types. Please note that we are in the process of adding more supported assets:

Creating Account Level Keys (Monte Carlo Account Owners only)
To connect Monte Carlo, please follow the below step by step written instructions, or follow along in the video.
Login to Monte Carlo. Click on the Settings tab, and locate the API section. Alternatively, you can click this link to manage API keys directly. Select the "Account Service Keys" tab.
Click Create Key on the right side of the page. On the flyout, add a description for the key i.e. workstreamio api key, then select an Authorization Group and expires after value.
Click the Create button to generate they key. Copy the Key ID and Secret.
Creating Personal Keys
Login to Monte Carlo. Click on the Settings tab, and locate the API section. Alternatively, you can click this link to manage API keys directly. Select the "Personal Keys" tab.
Click Create Key on the right side of the page. On the flyout, add a description for the key i.e. workstreamio api key, then select an expires after value.
Click the Create button to generate they key. Copy the Key ID and Secret.
Connecting to Workstream
With your newly created API key, go to Workstream (app.workstream.io). Click on your workspace name at the top left and choose settings from the dropdown. Locate Connections on the left nav and find Monte Carlo. Enter your Key ID and Secret to connect.
